PlugZen is built to be local-first and private by design. It runs entirely on your device, makes zero network requests, and has no servers, accounts, analytics, or ads.
What PlugZen accesses

Your installed extensions
Via the
managementpermission โ names, icons, versions, and enabled state โ so PlugZen can list and toggle them.
What PlugZen stores

Profiles, schedules, tags & settings
Stored in
chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome may sync across the devices you're signed into. -
Install snapshot & scheduler activity log
Stored in
chrome.storage.localโ on this device only, never synced or transmitted.
What PlugZen does not do
- โDoes not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
- โDoes not contact any external server, analytics, or tracking service.
- โDoes not read the content of the web pages you visit.
- โHas no accounts, no ads, and includes no remote code.
Permissions, explained

Your control over your data
- Export anytime Download your full configuration as a JSON file from Options โ Import / Export.
- Delete anytime Remove the extension, or clear your profiles, schedules, and tags from the Options page.
