Privacy Policy

PlugZen is built to be local-first and private by design. It runs entirely on your device, makes zero network requests, and has no servers, accounts, analytics, or ads.

What PlugZen accesses

Your installed extensions Via the management permission — names, icons, versions, and enabled state — so PlugZen can list and toggle them.

What PlugZen stores

Profiles, schedules, tags & settings Stored in chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome may sync across the devices you're signed into.
Install snapshot & scheduler activity log Stored in chrome.storage.local — on this device only, never synced or transmitted.

What PlugZen does not do

✓Does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
✓Does not contact any external server, analytics, or tracking service.
✓Does not read the content of the web pages you visit.
✓Has no accounts, no ads, and includes no remote code.

Permissions, explained

Permission	Why it's needed
`management`	List your extensions and enable/disable them — the core function.
`storage`	Save your profiles, schedules, tags, and settings.
`alarms`	Fire scheduled enable/disable rules without a persistent background process.
`notifications`	Tell you when a scheduled rule or bulk action runs.
`contextMenus`	Add the right-click "disable this page's extensions" action.
Host permissions	None requested. PlugZen has no access to any website.

Your control over your data

Export anytime Download your full configuration as a JSON file from Options → Import / Export.
Delete anytime Remove the extension, or clear your profiles, schedules, and tags from the Options page.
